Ice
Ever since the winter I spent in Florida, I have been intolerant of cold. (In fact, during winter weather, I have trouble remembering why I hated Florida so much.) I hibernate in the winter, which isn't good.
I've been trying to get out more this year, and it is helping my mood. So today, since the sun came out, it wasn't windy, and the temperature rose beyond "knock the breath out of you," we went for a hike.
At the trail head, we almost didn't go...the trail, which went downhill to a creek, was packed snow (which is to say, ice), and I wasn't sure if I wanted a misstep to result in a slip & slide into the water. But we went ahead, conditions improved, and all was fine.
I haven't been bringing my good camera on the trail, because it's too cumbersome, but today I wished I had it, along with my tripod and zoom. I had to make due with the pocket camera for trying to capture the ice:

On the way home, we passed a ballfield full of turkey vultures, which was bordered by some trees full of turkey vultures, and the sky was full of circling turkey vultures. Creepy, but nearly as cool as the ice, in its own way.
