I had to go to the paint store to pick out paint for the basement. I could spend hours looking at paint chips, mostly because of the creative color names.
Impromptu? (Kind of a turquoise.)
Virtue? (Almost brown.)
Love Affair? (A dusty light burgundy. I actually love this color, to be honest. But the name bugs me. Obviously sex sells paint, though...you can also get a variety of purples called Mighty Aphrodite and Seduction, which are at least classier than Snugglepuss, which I'd never be able to ask for with a straight face.)
They have Raindrops on Roses, but I didn't see Whiskers on Kittens.
Chicago Sky actually made some sense. (Gray, of course. With a threat of snow.) So does Vegan. (Pale green.)
Heaven on Earth is wishful thinking.
Speaking of wishful thinking...the basement walls will be Calm.
The All-Star game trivia question was
Bill Clement, Keith Jones, Brian Engblom, and Mark Messier. What do three of these guys have in common?
Well, three of them have hair and Messier is bald, but that wasn't my original thought. What struck me, when I turned on the tv, was the preponderance of ex-Capitals in the broadcast booth:
Bill Clement, 1975-76
Brian Engblom, 1982-83
Keith Jones, 1992-96
Mark Messier, of course, never did time in D.C. (or Landover).
[Interesting little Bill Clement factoid from the Hall of Fame player bio: "Clement has never hid the fact he hated his time with the cellar-dwelling Capitals."]
Well, broadcast booth trivia. Three of these things belong together, as the Sesame Street game goes...
So: Bill Clement, Keith Jones, Brian Engblom, and Mark Messier. What do three of these guys have in common?
(Admittedly there is probably more than one correct answer.)
